Here’s a simplified guide to fix the issues with Windows 11 after the update:

1. Update Your Drivers
Outdated drivers can cause the screen not to wake up or the touchpad to stop working.

   - To update drivers:
     1. Press `Windows + X` and choose Device Manager.
     2. Find Mice and other pointing devices (for touchpad) and Display adapters (for the screen).
     3. Right-click on each, and select Update driver.
     4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the instructions.

   - Using Windows Update:
     1. Press `Windows + I` to open Settings.
     2. Go to Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.
     3. If updates are available for your drivers, click Download & install.

2. Adjust Power Settings
Misconfigured power settings can cause your screen to not wake up or prevent your touchpad from working.

   - Turn off Fast Startup:
     1. Press `Windows + R`, type `powercfg.cpl`, and hit Enter.
     2. Click Choose what the power buttons do.
     3. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
     4. Uncheck Turn on fast startup and click Save changes.

   - Check Sleep Settings:
     1. Press `Windows + R`, type `powercfg.cpl`, and hit Enter.
     2. Click Change plan settings next to your current plan.
     3. Then, click Change advanced power settings.
     4. Check the Sleep settings and make sure they are correct.

3. Reinstall Your Touchpad Drivers
Reinstalling touchpad drivers can fix issues where the touchpad stops responding.

   - To reinstall touchpad drivers:
     1. Press `Windows + X` and select Device Manager.
     2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
     3. Right-click on your touchpad and select Uninstall device.
     4. Restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the touchpad driver.

4. Stop Windows from Turning Off Your Touchpad
Sometimes, Windows will turn off your touchpad to save power.

   - To stop this from happening:
     1. Press `Windows + X` and open Device Manager.
     2. Expand Human Interface Devices.
     3. Right-click on Intel(R) Serial IO 12C Host Controller or similar and select Properties.
     4. Go to the Power Management tab.
     5. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power and click OK.

Try these steps, and your device should work better! If the issues continue, you may want to contact your computer’s support team for help.
