PAYMENT CALENDAR MARCH 2025: REGISTRATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS IN FEBRUARY

Hello  friends of Olivia Mexico! Today we bring you very important news about the government's social programs, aimed at seniors, women and people with disabilities. The Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, has announced new measures that will directly impact their pockets and their wellbeing. Don't miss it!

Let's start by talking about pensions for our seniors. If you are 65 years old or older, you will receive 6,200 pesos every two months, corresponding to the period of MarchApril 2024. Note, some media outlets mentioned 2025, but everything indicates that was a typographical error. Pay attention! Payments begin on March 3, 2024 and will be made according to the initial of your last name.

For women aged 63 to 64 who are already registered, 3,000 pesos will be distributed. According to the Ministry of Welfare, all cards and payments have already been distributed. But if you or someone you know has not received their payment, it is very important that you contact the Ministry directly to clarify your situation.

In addition, 3,200 pesos will be awarded to people with disabilities. It is important to know that registration is still open for women over 63 years of age and men 65 years of age or older.

Registration for new beneficiaries will take place from February 17 to 28, 2024. Pay close attention to the day that corresponds to you, since it depends on the first letter of your last name:

Monday: A–C (February 17 and 24)

Tuesday: SunThu (February 18 and 25)

Wednesday: I–M (February 19 and 26)

Thursday: N–R (February 20 and 27)

Friday: S–Z (February 21 and 28)

Saturdays: For those who cannot attend during the week.

It is important to mention that women aged 63 or older and people with disabilities have already completed their registration in previous phases. But if you know someone who has not yet registered, please share this information with them!

Although the pension program is a great support, it is unfortunately not universal throughout the country. There are seven states where an agreement has not yet been reached: Aguascalientes, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Querétaro. If you live in one of these states, we recommend that you contact local authorities to find out the specific eligibility criteria.

But the good news doesn't end here! Starting in 2024, more than 22,000 healthcare workers, including doctors and nurses, will begin making home visits to seniors and people with disabilities. This means they will be able to receive medical checkups and prescriptions without leaving home.

In addition, the Wellness Pharmacies will be inaugurated at the end of 2024. These establishments will offer free medicines to the elderly and disabled, especially those prescribed during home medical visits. An excellent initiative that will undoubtedly facilitate access to health!

In addition, we will inform you of the latest news about support programs for people with disabilities and the new government initiatives to improve the quality of life of our seniors.

So, without further ado, let's get started!

The Wellbeing Pension: A Vital Support for Older Adults

The Bienestar pension is one of the most important social programs of the current government. It is designed to provide economic support to adults over 65 years of age, as well as to women from 60 to 64 years of age and to people with disabilities. This program not only represents economic relief for millions of families, but also a recognition of the effort and dedication of those who have contributed to the development of our country.

According to the most recent data, the Bienestar pension currently benefits 12.2 million people over 65 years of age. In this twomonth period, 76 billion pesos have been invested to ensure that beneficiaries receive their support in a timely manner.

Payment Schedule: When and How Much Will You Receive?

One of the most important aspects for beneficiaries is to know the dates and amounts of payments. Below we provide the official calendar for the next twomonth period of MarchApril 2025:

Adults over 65 years old: $6,200 pesos.

People with disabilities: $3,200 pesos.

Women from 60 to 64 years old: $3,000 pesos.

Payments will begin on March 3 and will be made according to the first letter of the beneficiaries' surname. Here is the detailed schedule:

Letters A to C: Monday, February 17 and 24.

Letters D to H: Tuesday, February 18 and 25.

Letters I to M: Wednesday, February 19 and 26.

Letters N to R: Thursday, February 20 and 27.

Letters S to Z: Friday, February 21 and 28.

All surnames: Saturdays 22 and 29 February.

It is important that you register or update your data at the designated service modules. In total, there are 2,180 modules available throughout the country, which will be operating from February 17 to 28.

Registration for New Beneficiaries

If you or someone you know is not yet registered in the Bienestar pension program, now is the time to do so. Here we explain who can register and how to do so:

Adults over 65 years old: Men who reach this age and are not registered.

Women aged 60 to 64: You have already registered in previous twomonth periods, but if you have not done so, you still have time.

People with disabilities: From 30 years of age onwards, depending on the state in which they reside.

It is worth noting that in seven states of the country (Aguascalientes, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Nuevo León), the pension is not universal due to the lack of agreements with the federal government. If you live in one of these states, we recommend that you contact the Ministry of Welfare to find out about the available options.

Home Visits: Health at Home

One of the most important advances in the welfare program for seniors is the implementation of the "Health House by House" program. This program aims to bring medical care directly to the homes of beneficiaries.

To this end, more than 22,000 health professionals have been hired, including doctors and nurses, who will visit the elderly and people with disabilities to perform medical checkups, prescribe medications and provide guidance on their health.

In addition, the government has announced the construction of Wellness Pharmacies throughout the country. These pharmacies will be dedicated exclusively to senior citizens and people with disabilities, offering free medicines to those who need them.
