How to Lock Apps on iPhone

Do you want to lock any app on your iPhone, meaning when you or someone tries to open the app, it prompts for either a password or Face ID? Let's learn how to do it using the Shortcuts app.

### Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Open Shortcuts App:

   - Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. You can find it in your app library or search for "Shortcuts."

2. Create a New Automation:

   - Tap on the Automation tab at the bottom.

   - If you don't see New Automation, tap on the + icon in the top right and select Create Personal Automation.

3. Choose App and Event:

   - Scroll down and select App, then tap on Choose and select the app you want to lock (e.g., Photos).

   - Ensure Is Opened is selected, then tap Next.

4. Add an Action:

   - Tap on Add Action.

   - In the search bar, type Lock Screen and select it from the results.

   - Tap Next.

5. Configure Automation:

   - Turn off Ask Before Running and tap Don’t Ask.

   - Tap Done.

6. Repeat for Other Apps:

   - Repeat the above steps for each app you want to lock (e.g., Camera, Google Pay).

7. Test Your Automations:

   - Exit the Shortcuts app and try opening one of the locked apps.

   - You should see the screen lock immediately.

By following these steps, you can lock any app on your iPhone using the Shortcuts app. This adds an extra layer of security to your sensitive apps, ensuring they can only be accessed with your permission (Face ID or password).
