MX Player is a popular multimedia player for Android devices that allows users to watch videos, movies, and TV shows with support for various formats. Apart from its primary media playback capabilities, MX Player also provides some useful features, including the ability to show hidden files and folders on your device. This feature is handy for accessing files that might not be visible through the default file manager.
Introduction to MX Player:
MX Player is a feature-rich media player developed by MX Media & Entertainment. It gained popularity due to its smooth playback, hardware acceleration, and support for various subtitle formats. With an easy-to-use interface and a range of customizable options, it has become one of the go-to choices for Android users to enjoy their multimedia content.
How to Show Hidden Files & Folders in MX Player:
Please note that as of my last update in September 2021, MX Player did not have built-in file management features. It primarily focused on media playback. Therefore, showing hidden files and folders directly through the app might not be possible. Instead, you'll need to use a dedicated file manager app or your device's settings to enable the display of hidden files and folders.
Method 1: Using a File Manager App
1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
2. Search for "File Manager" and install a reliable file manager app of your choice. Some popular file manager apps include "ES File Explorer," "Solid Explorer," or "Files by Google."
3. Once installed, open the file manager app.
4. Look for the settings or preferences within the file manager app, usually accessible through a three-line or gear icon.
5. Within the settings, there should be an option to "Show hidden files" or "Show hidden folders." Enable this option.
6. Now, you should be able to see hidden files and folders using the file manager app.
Method 2: Using Android Device Settings
1. Open the "Settings" app on your Android device.
2. Scroll down and tap on "Apps & notifications" or "Apps."
3. Locate and tap on "MX Player" from the list of installed apps.
4. Tap on "Permissions" or "App permissions" (the wording might vary depending on your Android version).
5. Look for the option that says "Storage" or "Files and media."
6. Enable the permission to "Allow access to hidden files and folders."
Now, any file manager app you use, including the default one, should be able to display hidden files and folders.
Remember that Android versions and device interfaces might vary, so the steps above could be slightly different depending on your specific device. If you are using a more recent version of MX Player that has added file management features since my last update, you can explore the app's settings or documentation for a more accurate guide.
