So before we are start you need to have a device that's using iOS 15.2 or later your iPhone needs to be connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network you'll need your Apple ID and password that you use to set up your device if you're using an esim contact your carrier before trying these steps and ask for a QR code to set up your esim again.

Now to do that from your device's lock screen try to enter your passcode five times until the iPhone unavailable screen appears and your device asks you to try again later when you're able to continue to enter your passcode until the security lockout screen appears and you get the erase iPhone option in the bottom corner of the screen.

Now tap erase iPhone then tap erase iPhone again to confirm enter your Apple ID password to sign out of your Apple ID on your device tap erase to permanently delete all of your data and settings when your device restarts follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device again restore your data and settings from a backup and set a new passcode note in case you use iPhone versions that use home button and your home button is broken then restart iPhone to proceed with the setup if you can't follow these steps you can use a computer to reset your device to do that.

Step 1: make sure you have a computer Mac or PC because this process requires a Mac or PC if you're using a PC make sure it's running Windows 10 or later and that iTunes is installed you also need the cable that came with your iPhone or another compatible cable to connect your iPhone to the computer.

Step 2: open iTunes on your computer next connect your iPhone to the computer with a lighting cable.

Step 3: Put your iPhone in recovery mode:

iPhone 6:
For iPhone 6 press and hold the home button and the side button at the same time until you see the iTunes logo with the cable in the screen then go to iTunes and click on restore.

iPhone 7:
For iPhone 7 press and hold the volume down and the side button at the same time until you see the connect to computer icon foreign.

iPhone 8:
For iPhone 8 or later volume up then press and quickly release the volume down then press and hold the side button until the screen shows connect to computer icon now go to iTunes and click on restore foreign if you don't have a computer and you can't borrow one you need to go to an Apple retail store or apple authorized service provider for help.
