Fix iPhone Unable To Load Photo or Video An Error Occurred While Loading a Higher Quality Version

Hello guys, welcome to my channel. Today, I will show you some methods to fix unable to load a photo or video error on your iPhone.

Fix iPhone Unable To Load Photo or Video An Error Occurred While Loading a Higher Quality Version

Method 1: Check Storage

Check Storage Go to Settings. Tap General. Tap Storage. This screen will show you the used space on your iPhone or iPad. Ensure that your device has at least 2GB of free space. This page will display a set of recommendations. These recommendations will help you free up space. You may also want to delete apps that you do not use.

Method 2: Force Quit And Open The Photos App

Force Quit And Open The Photos App As with any smartphone, apps sometimes crash on the iPhone, too. And the gallery app on the iPhone isn’t an exception. Of course, there’s no way to tell if your gallery app has failed or not. But if you can’t load your photos, it’s probably a temporary gallery issue. Force-quitting and reopening your photos app might remove the error.

Method 3: Set Favorites And Unfavorites For The Video

Set Favorites And Unfavorites For The Video Please long-press on the problematic image or video. After that, tap on the Heart icon to add the video to your favorites. Now, one more time, please touch and hold on to the problematic image or video. After that, tap on unfavorite and check if the video can be played without any errors.

Method 4: Restart Your Device

Restart Your Device Sometimes, the error might be due to a temporary system failure. Your Photos app might’ve even failed for some reason. Restarting your iPhone, in that case, might fix the issue. Besides, this gives your iPhone a fresh start and reset its random access memory (RAM).

Method 5: Update Your Device

Update Your Device If you still get the “Unable to Load Photo” error message on your iPhone, your iOS version might be obsolete and unable to sync iCloud Photos successfully. Updating your iOS version to the latest one usually fix this issue.

Method 6: Turn off Low Data Mode

Turn off Low Data Mode To deactivate the mobile data saver on your iPhone, go to Settings. Tap Cellular Data. Tap Cellular Data Options. Tap Data Mode. Toggle off Low Data Mode. If you’re on a Wi-Fi network, open Settings. Tap on Wi-Fi. Next, select your router and toggle off Low Power Mode.

Method 7: Enable Cellular Data

Enable Cellular Data Open iPhone Settings. Tap Photos. Tap Cellular Data. Toggle on Cellular Data. Toggle on Unlimited updates. Once done, you can try to open your pictures or videos again.

Method 8: Turn Off The Power Saver

Turn Off The Power Saver You might’ve turned on the low power mode on your iPhone while trying to reduce battery drain. But Apple itself says turning on low power mode on iPhone may affect some functionalities on your iPhone and slow it down. This includes the temporary pausing of iCloud Photos and Videos. So, to turn off the power saver. Open Settings. Tap Battery. Toggle off Low Power Mode.

Method 9: Delete and recover the photo

Delete and recover the photo Please long-press on the problematic image or video. Then tap Delete. Next, tap Albums towards the lower right. Scroll down and select Recently Deleted. Once you find the deleted photo or video, long-tap it and choose Recover. Once done, you can try to open your pictures or videos again.

Method 10: Disable and Enable the Photos Sync of iCloud

Disable and Enable the Photos Sync of iCloud Launch the iPhone Settings and tap on the Apple ID. Now select iCloud and open Photos. Then disable iCloud Photos by toggling its switch to the off position. Then restart the iPhone. Upon restart, enable back iCloud Photos. Then check if the iPhone is clear of the loading error.

Method 11: Change the iCloud Storage Mode to Download and Keep Originals

Change the iCloud Storage Mode to Download and Keep Originals Close the Photos app on the iPhone then go to Settings. Now tap on the Apple ID and open iCloud. Then select Photos and enable Download and Keep Originals. Now open the Photos app and tap on the problematic photo/video to check if the loading error is cleared.

Method 12: Disable View Full HDR in the Photos App

Disable View Full HDR in the Photos App Open the iPhone Settings. Scroll down then tap Photos. Scroll down and you will see View Full HDR, toggling its switch to the off position. Then restart the iPhone and upon restart, check if the high-quality issue is cleared.

Method 13: Edit the problematic Video or Photo

Edit the problematic Video or Photo Open the Photos app and select the video. Now tap on the Edit button and once the edit interface is shown, tap Revert. Then tap on Revert to Original and check if the video can be played without triggering the high-quality error. If that did not work, check if duplicating the video file in the Photos app clears the error. If not, try opening the problematic video with iMovie or the VLC app and check if the video can be played without triggering the high-quality error. If that did not work, head to CloudConvert.com, upload the problematic video to the website, convert it to a .mov file (although, the file may already be in .mov format), and then check if the converted video is clear of the loading error. Finally, if the issue persists, then the corrupt iOS of the phone could be the reason for the high-quality loading error for an image/video. In this context, resetting the iPhone to its factory defaults may clear the error.

So one of the methods should help you to get rid of the error that'll be all thank you so much for your precious time and please appreciate our work through your valuable comment.
