- This error can cause misconfiguration in the SMS Message Center number (SMSC).

1. Top-up Recharge:
- Most of the time, the problem is related to top-ups—a low balance on your number cause this problem. Thus to solve this issue, firstly check your talk time balance by dialing a balance checking number of your network provider.
- Sometimes It doesn't matter what the active sim plan is. So you can face this problem, and to solve it, try recharging with at least 10 Rs. Talktime.

2. Change Sim preference:
- Check whether you have set the right sim card for messaging if you have two sim cards.
- To check messaging preference, go to Settings > Sim cards & Mobile Networks > SMS Messages > Choose the correct sim card to send messages.

- Dial – *#*#4636#*#* on Keypad.
- It will automatically open the 'Testing' settings. So if you have two sims in your android phone, choose accordingly.
- Now scroll down and try to find the 'SMSC' option, type your network operator's SMSC number in your area, and tap Update. I am from Maharashtra. That is why I ordered Maharashtra's SMSC number.
iOS
- Dial *5005*7672*SMSCNUMBER# on your Android or iPhone's dialer app & call.
- Replace the SMSCNUMBER (SMS Center Number) with your network operator's SMSC (SMS Center Number) number in your region.
- After that, The message "Setting interrogation succeeded, Service Center Address" will appear on the screen.
- After changing the SMSC number, check whether your problem is solved or not.
8. Call Customer Care
- If you have followed all the above methods and failed, try calling your network provider's customer care number.
- After calling them, explain your fair situation to them, and they will help you out of this situation.
